The European Investment Management department manages the European end of the almost $200 bn of investments the firm manages. This business unit is mainly focused upon the implementation of the investment strategy and the development of that. The Analyst of Investments plays a crucial role in that overall responsibility supporting the team and allowing it to make informed, profitable and decisive decisions based upon the analysis and reports they generate.
If you application to the Analyst of Investments vacancy is successful you can expect to find yourself been asked to create reports and investment commentary for use both internally and externally. You will be asked to generate detailed analysis of all investment related aspects undertaken by the European team. Alongside the European Investment Manager you will play a major role in the implementation of all ALM analysis. It will be a major part of this well paid Swiss fund job
to update all investment guidelines and policies. You must ensure complete compliance with the strategy and ensure that all individuals have the most up to date guidelines to hand. On an occasional basis you will be asked for one off pieces of custom analysis and to evaluate the current derivative programs. Finally you will ensure all the investment tools and software is up to date at all times and that the asset allocation systems are in tip top condition and readiness.
To be considered for the Analyst of Investments position you must be an economics, business admin or mathematics graduate with at least two years prior analysis experience in a similar organization. Being an expert in Bloomberg and other analysis and asset allocation tools is an advantage. You will be fluent in English and it would be advantageous if you spoke German as well.
