Essentially, the bank provides a comprehensive virtual bond (and commodities) market to prevent many of the asset identification issues that stop the successful completion of transactions. To build on its staggering initial growth this year they are looking to recruit a skilled Cross Border Trade Finance Manager to manage the asset backed instrument transaction process.
The Cross Border Trade Finance Manager is in charge of orchestrating the on-boarding process for the membership who wishes to trade bonds, commercial paper and other structured fixed income products. The Cross Border Trade Finance Manager works with the prospective members and their bank officers to confirm that the prospective member does indeed have the asset that they purport to own. Thus, the Cross Border Trade Finance Manager acts as a third party liaison to facilitate these transactions and meet all the regulatory, compliance and legal process requirements of both counter-parties. Effectively they will be managing, co-coordinating and handling the process requirements of private placement transactions involving large blocks of bonds. The Cross Border Trade Finance Manager acts as the manager of all the trades his clients undertake and organizes, introduces and manages the swap stage of the trade. To be considered for the Cross Border Trade Finance Manager vacancy you must be a cross border financing expert or been involved in the quality end of the private placement sector, with at least five years experience of managing global asset backed transactions, private banking transactions or bond trades.
2. The role requires a good understanding of how banks book these trades and the paperwork requirements for all kinds of asset based securities lending and trading. It would be beneficial if you had some experience acting as a banks signature loan authority or signatory / bank officer at a bank which handles large cross border asset backed fixed income trades..
3. You will be comfortable dealing with both ultra high net worth individuals and other banking institutions.
4. It is expected you will be a skilled SWIFT, Euroclear and Bloomberg operator who is quick to understand and use the latest on-line systems and technology.
