This Neuchatel based Swiss banking house is looking to recruit an Economist to join their growing operation.

The Bank has made great strides in expanding its business beyond its traditional banking set up. In particular it has captured a lions share of the international FX trading market. Its tools, platform and support services are employed by thousands of institutional and private traders daily. It is this growth that has driven the need to build a world class research team. To kick off that initiative they are looking at arranging the recruitment of an experience Economist to create, develop and build that research function.

In essence the Economist is charged with creating research and analysis that can be employed by their expanding customer base. The Economist will be the thought leader and central authority in the bank upon providing analysis of the market, the major economies and anything which could and will impact the performance of the banks associated traders.

The Economist will deliver the latest research at a series of morning communications briefings to the banks trader network and will also communicate the latest analysis to the banks sales teams – allowing them to expand the client base via tactical use of cutting edge research. In this well paid Swiss banking job you will also manage the relationship with the financial media and should your application be successful you can expect to feature on TV and within newspapers across Europe.

To be considered for Economist vacancy you must have at least five years track record as an economist for a major bank, fund company, broker or consultancy house that provides research & analysis to the banking industry. One of your areas of speciality should be the FX markets. The second prerequisite for this exciting Swiss banking job is that you are fluent in English and at least one of Italian, French or German. Finally you must be a Swiss citizen, or an approved foreign worker with a C,B,G working permit. At the very least you will need to be an EU citizen.
