A unique wealth creation opportunity has arisen at this Zurich based investment bank for a skilled, experienced Fixed Income Securities Lending Officer.
This bank has created a revolutionary exchange / trading platform designed for the needs of the global private placement and private banking industry. It can also be used for clients to post their borrowing needs and / or inventory to other counter parties, with bids and offers being managed within one place. Traded upon it are public and private instruments
such as commercial paper, bonds (Treasuries, Corporate, Callable and secured), short and also medium term notes, even asset backed securities. However the majority of the trading activity is focused upon fixed income securities and the bank is heavily involved in issuing its own paper and trading unique private placements to its private exchange membership. Members include other banks, insurance providers, pension scheme operators, professional traders, hedge funds, family offices and enterprise financial institutions.
A key component of the banks strategy is the issuing of securities for trading on the Exchange. For example the bank is also heavily involved in offering structured credit funding facilities; the issuance and trading of REPOs, letters of credit, convertible and secured bonds. As part of the trade monitoring team the bank is keen to hire a Fixed Income Securities Lending Officer who will be responsible for executing securities lending and finance transactions with clients upon the Exchange. It should be noted that the bank also provide collateralized lending to financial institution clients, mainly against liquid bond and lending against structured notes.
Besides vanilla bonds the Fixed Income Securities Lending Officer can expect to also be involved in products ranging from investment grade corporate lending to international covered bonds, T-bills, MTNs, loans, unstructured notes and structured asset-backed finance facilities
. Most transactions are cross Border in nature and a private placement.
The Fixed Income Securities Lending Officer maximizes the Exchanges securities lending revenues and works closely with other traders, Exchange Officers and IT to improve monitoring and reporting capabilities surrounding inventory management, performance measurement and performance attribution. Yield calculation is a core activity, as is assessment of third party issuer stability and managing the documentation flow around each transaction. They also take a leading role in the development and implementation of pricing and counter party management strategies. The Fixed Income Securities Lending Officer also takes charge of all bond reports and reporting to management.
To be considered for the Fixed Income Securities Lending Officer vacancy you should have at least three years experience in fixed income securities lending or trading. You will have specialized knowledge of Structured Notes, Bond transaction, Repo transactions and Money Markets deposits. It would be useful if you had Credit and underwriting experience in another investment bank, perhaps even previously acting as the signature loan authority. You will be fluent in English and well versed in operating in a trading environment.
