TThis international investment bank and asset manager is looking to boost the ranks of its Zurich based Institutional Client department. As such they have authorized the hiring of a new Institutional Client Relationship Manager with immediate effect.
The Institutional Client Relationship Manager
is charged with delivering independent, professional investment advice to a portfolio of the banks institutional customers. These clients range from huge international pension funds, Swiss corporates and insurance firms to smaller niche wealth managers, IFA networks and family offices.
Firstly in this challenging position each client’s tolerance to risk and investment aims and objectives must be understood.
From that an individual investment profile and plan must be created and presented for acceptance by each customer. The Institutional Client Relationship Manager leads these initiatives in concert with the banks investment professionals based both in Switzerland and at a global level.
Ultimately for each client the Institutional Client Relationship Manager will recommend the correct benchmark and package of investment instruments. Once the “mandate” is up and running the Institutional Client Relationship Manager will lead quarterly reviews and be available to each client in their portfolio to provide periodic reviews as requested and handle ad-hoc queries. It also falls into the remit of the Institutional Client Relationship Manager to undertake, supervise and monitor all investment decisions taken on each customer’s portfolio.
Finally the Institutional Client Relationship Manager is the senior institutional sales expert in the department and as such co-ordinate and lead the teams sales campaigns and act as a mentor figure for the more junior members. At major events such as new product launches you can expect to take an active public role in presenting these products and services to the world.

- At least eight years banking experience, the majority gained in building relationships with institutional clients.
- It is expected you will be an expert in screening, creating a balanced portfolio and generating new business opportunities.

- Lastly you will need to be fluent in German and English.
