The private equity investment arm of this international re-insurance giant is looking to recruit an experienced Relationship Manager
to cover a specific geography from their Zurich Head Office.
This organization is charged with making equity investments at a global level on behalf of a series on in-house fund vehicles.
Currently the organization offers this expertise to a group of Swiss based private equity investors – mainly pension schemes and insurance companies. The job of the Relationship Manager is to grow the number of relationships, the assets under management and turn a current roster of prospects into investors. At present the firm managers around seven and half billion dollars worth of investments for several hundred clients. They are keen to grow that market ins several key geographies , namely Switzerland, UK, Benelux, Russia and Scandinavia.
The Relationship Manager is charged with developing that market in a structured manner – increasing market coverage and taking a series of leads provided and turn them into new client relationships. This must be achieved whilst acting as the main point of contact for existing clients in your designated region.
You will also pay a key role in transforming the investment requirements and desires into a workable investment solution, based on the firms offerings. To do so you must work in close concert with the Investment Management and Portfolio Management teams.
On occasion in excellent Zurich asset management vacancy
you will be asked to help launch new investment solutions. Here you can expect to take the lead in your geography hosting investor events and driving the marketing campaign, alongside strategic and tactical support from the firms marketing and investor solution teams. In every sense you will be the firms main advocate in industry organizations and will seek to build relationships that can be exploited at a later date.
1. To be considered for the Relationship Manager vacancy you should be a well educated (MBA or equivalent) existing institutional client RM, who has been in a similar role for at least five years.
2. You must have had full client responsibility and can demonstrate the ability to grow revenue and assets under management.
3. It is also expected you will have a solid exposure to private equity and the pension / insurance sector (as a source of clients).
4. Finally you will speak fluent German and English and perhaps a regional language – depending upon your desired territory.
It would be highly desirable if you have an existing network of institutional clients you can bring to the table.
