This organization is a well known international provider of wealth management, estate planning and bespoke fiduciary services. Following a raft of acquisitions the company is keen to rationalize its extensive and diverse trust services client portfolio. To assist them during that process and to manage a select portfolio of top tier customers afterwards, the firm would like to appoint a new Trust Manager.
This role is based in Geneva, although there will be the opportunity for regular travel both within and outside Europe.
The Trust Manager reports directly to the head of the Trust Division. Their core responsibilities are in meeting the needs and objectives of trust, clients, trustees and to up hold the companies excellent reputation, integrity and impartiality. Their is also a secondary internal responsibility in covering for the Head of Trust on occasion when required and to assist him in representing the team both in house and externally to prospective clients and partners.
To assist the Trust Manager in meeting his or her requirements and duties there is a huge virtual team of trust structuring experts, legal advisers, tax advisors, accountants and other trust administration experts available. The Trust Manager can over time expect to be asked to form their own team of Trust Administrators to work directly upon their client portfolio as it grows, matures and expands. When this will be required will be dictated by levels of business, portfolio profitability and performance against a variety of KPIs. That will bring additional responsibilities including the recruitment of new staff, day to day management and developing their individual skills and competences as trust professionals.
Obviously to succeed you must ensure all your clients benefit from first rate procedures, service levels, controls, processes and that there are reviews are in place for the effective administration of their trust structures. The ultimate responsibility for overseeing billing and fee collection from clients is entrusted to the Trust Manager as well. Lastly as explained the Trust Manager will be managing a select portfolio of trusts, so they can expect to be asked to undertake the arrangement of report creation, trustee / AGM meeting arrangements, the product of detailed minutes and liaison with the clients own advisors and designated third parties.
To be considered for the Trust Manager vacancy you should:
- Have at least
three years experience in administration of trusts and corporate structures, as well as ability to hire, manage, develop and supervise staff.
- You will hold an academic / professional legal qualification, ICSA membership or similar.
- Finally you will have excellent English language skills (both oral and written) and French.
